2019 corporate sponsor for hospitality design
Oblica is proud to be an official sponsor of this year’s Australian Interior Design Awards (AIDA) for Hospitality Design.
This is a great opportunity for us to recognise the talent of Australian designers and architects, and celebrate excellence in the industry.
Venues, hotels, cafes and restaurants across Australia showcase some of the best designs in the world. Much to our delight, over the years Oblica’s fireplaces have featured in a number of highly regarded projects.
Most recently, Filiofocus has taken centre stage at The Espy hotel, one of Melbourne’s most anticipated venue redesigns. The iconic Espy was totally reborn following a massive re-imagination of the space by Techne Architects, reopening in late 2018. Here, the sculptural beauty of Filiofocus acts as a unique feature in the Terrace Bar – and come winter, it will provide a warm hearth for punters to gather around.
Another new kid on the block that has delighted us recently is Many Little Bar & Bistro. The latest venture by Polperro Wines, this all-day dining spot in Red Hill was made with locals in mind and features the Alcor by Invicta slow combustion wood heater. Designed by Hecker & Guthrie, this project captures the charm of the local community, creating a warm and inviting space for all to enjoy.
We cannot wait to see what ingenious hospitality design and innovation is revealed at this year’s awards. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long, with the shortlist to be revealed March 19.
Best of luck to all of the entrants of the 2019 Australian Interior Design Awards!
