It’s no wonder then that when architect Paul Clarke of Studio2 Architects was looking for the perfect fireplace to complement the impressive geometries and stunning L-shaped beach vista of Hahei House, the Gyrofocus by Focus proved an ideal choice to contend with the cold winters of the New Zealand coast.
Suspended against a sweeping, heroic ocean view, the Gyrofocus blends in perfectly with the engaging lines of the timber interiors, adding to the golden-hued warmth of the American Oak-lined floors, walls and ceilings of this contender for the Habitus House of the Year.
It’s yet another testament to the lasting and iconic appeal of Dominique Imbert’s elegant design, which has found favour with architects the world over. And another demonstration how home fires can bring not just practical warmth, but a sense of artistry into your frame of living.
