Oblica fireplaces feature in the 2019 Australian Interior Design Awards

The 2019 Australian Interior Design Awards have been made all the more sweet for us at Oblica. Having had the honour of sponsoring this year’s hospitality award, we’ve also relished seeing some of our favourite fireplaces feature prominently in a few shortlisted projects.

Those nominated include Kennedy Nolan, whose Caroline House project features the Bathyscafocus as the contemporary centrepiece in a whimsical yet formal living area. Another stunning interior space being recognised is Sage House by Carole Whiting. This family home offers a beautifully sophisticated and calming aesthetic, made all the more inviting by the built-in custom fireplace designed by Oblica and manufactured in France, a sleek addition to this seamless space.

And finally, a standout in the hospitality category – Many Little designed by Hecker Guthrie. Set amongst the vineyards of Polperro Winery in Red Hill, every detail of this charming space has been completed with refined attention to detail. As in many of their previous projects, Hecker Guthrie has taken great care to include objects and furniture that add an artisan touch. It delights us to see the Alcor by Invicta included here, warming this stunning space on the Peninsula.

Congratulations to all the nominees, and best of luck to them all in the 2019 Australian Interior Design Awards, to be presented on 31 May.in built fireplace
